I’ve always wanted to craft a wood-handled knife, but wood has its challenges. It’s often less uniform and reliable than modern materials like G10 for handle scales. Additionally, I prioritize a secure “click” retention in my sheaths to ensure the knife is fully seated, and wood tends to wear faster and isn’t as durable as G10 over time.

To address this, I developed a glass-reinforced nylon with a wood-like grain, combining the aesthetic of wood with superior strength and reliability. This material outperforms any wood I’ve encountered—it’s tougher, more resistant to wear, and performs better in harsh conditions like saltwater. After extensive testing, I believe I’ve achieved my goal.

The SEAL Teams, known for their discerning standards, provided valuable feedback during this process. When I presented the Crime Co. collaboration blades, they found the handle colors too flashy and not subdued enough for their needs. However, they loved the grip texture and feel. Their emphasis on these details drove me to refine this project, resulting in what I believe is the best version of a wood-grain G10 handle.

With each purchase, you’ll also provide a knife to an active-duty SEAL, eliminating the need for them to rely solely on GPC or platoon funds. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to these operators while owning a matching piece of craftsmanship.

Crafted from Nitro-V steel, this blade offers outstanding corrosion resistance, edge retention, and toughness, delivering a razor-sharp edge that excels in demanding conditions. The G10 handle ensures a secure, comfortable grip, blending form with function.

The modular sheath is compatible with most clip systems for versatile carry. As shown, it pairs seamlessly with the Ferro Concepts Knifenook or Wingthing for secure, low-profile attachment.
